book a clarity call

Understanding something intellectually and living it day-to-day are often very different things.

When you’re inside exhaustion, overwhelm, self-doubt, or the constant mental load of parenting, it can be difficult to clearly see what’s contributing, what matters most, or what may genuinely help.

The Clarity Call is a focused 45-minute conversation designed to help you explore what’s been feeling difficult, understand some of the emotional, mental, physical, and lifestyle factors that may be contributing, and identify realistic next steps that feel supportive and achievable for you.

what to expect

why talking things through can help

Many parents spend months trying to push through overwhelm, self-doubt, emotional exhaustion, or the mental load of parenting alone.

Often because they assume they should be coping better, believe they simply need more time, or keep trying to think their way through everything themselves.

But when you’re carrying a lot mentally and emotionally, it can be difficult to clearly see patterns, priorities, or what may genuinely help from inside the situation.

Sometimes even a single conversation that brings greater understanding, perspective, and clarity can create meaningful relief and make the next steps feel far more manageable.

why work with me?

I’m a trauma-informed parental brain educator and UKIHCA-registered health coach, with a background in psychology and antenatal education.

Over the past nine years, I’ve supported more than 8,000 parents through coaching, education and award-winning classes.

My approach combines neuroscience, whole-health understanding, and compassionate, non-judgemental support to help parents better understand what may be shaping their experience - emotionally, mentally, physically, and practically.

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all advice, I help parents explore what’s happening within the context of their own life, values, relationships, and nervous system.

what parents have shared after coaching

"Through coaching I have been able to identify the things in life that really matter to me, there is clarity in what I need to feel nourished, I feel empowered and more ready to take on life’s ups and downs...and being kind to myself if I slip up!

Thank you, Iona. Your smiling, calm, clear and gentle encouragement has taught me so much. I have learnt more than I imagined and have confronted barriers I hadn’t realised were there."

book your clarity call today

You do not need to have everything figured out before booking.

frequently asked questions

what if I’m not sure what I need, or can’t fully explain why I’m struggling?

That’s completely ok. Many parents book the call because they know something feels difficult, overwhelming, or different to how they expected but can’t fully explain why.

You do not need to arrive with clear answers or a perfectly defined problem. When you’re inside exhaustion, overwhelm, emotional load, or constant mental juggling, it can be difficult to clearly see what’s contributing or what may genuinely help.

The conversation is designed to help you slow things down, explore some of the emotional, mental, physical, nervous system, and lifestyle factors that may be shaping your experience, and gain greater clarity around what might help moving forward.

what kinds of things do parents usually bring to a clarity call?

Every parent and situation is different, but common themes include:

  • Feeling overwhelmed by the mental load of parenting

  • Emotional exhaustion, stress, anxiety, or struggling to switch off

  • Feeling unlike yourself, low in confidence, or constantly second-guessing yourself

  • Relationship strain, resentment or feeling unsupported

  • Difficulty slowing down, resting, or prioritising your own needs

  • Poor sleep, low energy, or feeling physically depleted

  • Trying to rebuild routines that support your health, energy, and recovery

  • Finding realistic ways to care for your health alongside parenting

  • Wanting to feel physically stronger, calmer, or more emotionally resilient

  • Challenges returning to movement, exercise, or healthier habits without pressure or perfectionism

  • Uncertainty about what support, boundaries, or next steps may help

You do not need to fit into a particular category for the call to be valuable.

is this like therapy?

No. The Clarity Call is not therapy or a clinical mental health service.

I’m a trauma-informed parental brain educator and UKIHCA-registered health coach, and the call is designed to offer space for reflection, understanding, practical support, and personalised guidance within that scope.

While therapy often focuses more deeply on processing past experiences or mental health difficulties, coaching is generally more forward-looking and centred around understanding your current experience, identifying what may be contributing to how things feel, and exploring practical next steps that may help.

You do not need to have everything figured out before the call, and there is no pressure to share anything you do not feel comfortable discussing.

If I feel additional or specialist support may be helpful, I will always discuss this with you sensitively and appropriately.

what happens after the call?

At the end of the conversation, we’ll reflect on what feels most important and any next steps that may support you moving forward.

For some parents, the clarity and perspective from a single conversation feels enough. Others may decide they would benefit from ongoing coaching or additional support.

If ongoing support feels helpful, I can explain the options available but there is absolutely no pressure or obligation.

is the clarity call really free?

Yes. The Clarity Call is a complimentary 45-minute session.

It’s designed to give you space to pause, reflect, better understand what may be contributing to how things feel right now, and explore what support or next steps may be most helpful for you.
